Celestron item #11068

The new NexStar SE Family combines the classic heritage of the original orange tube telescopes with state-of-the-art features

Details

Portability and serious performance come together in the NexStar 6SE.  Celestron's first new Schmidt-Cassegrain optical system in over a decade is now available in a high performance Altazimuth computerized telescope.  With a total weight of 30 lbs including the tripod, the ultra portable 6SE features a precision optical system with 1500mm focal length (f/10) and offers 44% more light gathering than a 5" telescope.

The NexStar 6SE has all the same features as Celestron's most advanced computerized GoTo telescopes, including our revolutionary SkyAlign™ alignment technology, a sky tour feature, a database of over 40,000 celestial objects and easy to use hand control.

Plug the optional SkySync GPS Accessory into NexStar's Auxiliary port and download data from orbiting GPS satellites for truly quick and easy alignments.  The universe may be full of mysteries, but using the NexStar 6 SE isn’t one of them.

Every NexStar SE includes a version of The Sky® software Level 1 Planetarium software for exploring the Universe on your PC and printing out custom star charts of the sky.  In addition, you receive our NexRemote software that allows you to operate your telescope via your PC.  Software package valued at over $100 included free with your NexStar SE!

Customer Reviews

Easy to set up, even easier to use, have a C9.25, use the c6se more often.

I've been in astronomy for about 40 years, gone through a lot of telescopes, celestron is my favored
Brand and the 6se is just plain outstanding for all my astronomy activities. Of course the 9.25
Is like the 6's big brother and bests any scope in it's bracket. It is also quite heavy and takes more time to set up. If you are looking for a fine grab & go scope, the C6se is it. Clear sky's, DanO.
